People usually drink in weekend or in different occasions. Sometimes it gets too heavy and the after effect you feel the next day is called hangover. You can experience Dizziness, headache, fatigue, severe thirst, even shivering, sweating or nausea. This will make your day really bad.

If you ask different people to cure hangover they will give different answers. The real cure for hangover is time but there are some tips which will speed your recovery and relieve from it.




1. Water

Water is simply the easiest cure for your hangover.  Drink a lot of water. Because of last night heavy drink; your body is suffering from dehydration, so you need to re-hydrate. Drink 8-10 glasses of water in regular interval. Water will reduce headaches, fatigue and nausea. It dilutes impurities left in your stomach.

You can also go for sport drinks, tea but don’t drink caffeinated products as it will dehydrate you more.

2. Sleep

Sleep is another best way to reduce your hangover.  Sleep allows your body to repair the damages from last night. Drink lots of water and good breakfast in morning again and go to sleep. When you are in deep sleep it will helps your body to restore itself. Grab a blanket, wrap yourself and sleep well.



3. Lemon

Lemon is very beneficial to get rid of after-effects of excessive drinking. It helps to recover from Lemon helps to rebalance body by controlling the blood sugar level and changing the pH level. It helps to reduce queasiness, dizziness, muscle pain and sensitivity to light and sound. Drink warm water with lemon in the morning after you wake up. You can add honey if it is too sour or if you feel weak. Follow this 2-3 times in a day.

Honey is another best remedy for hangover. Honey contains fructose which helps to metabolize the extra alcohol in the body and prevent the sudden blood sugar levels. Honey neutralizes the toxins created by consuming alcohol. It helps to burns alcohol faster.

Use honey to spread in your morning toast and eat it. Also, add a tablespoon of honey in a cup of warm water and drink several times in a day.

5. Good breakfast

Don’t skip morning breakfast as it helps to get over hangover. First drink 1-2 glass of water. Then you can have a plain toast or toast spread with honey, milk and egg.  Carbohydrate in toast are a good source of recovery nutrients.



6. Fruits and vegetables

Eat fresh fruits and vegetables in the morning. This helps to replace vitamins, minerals and enzymes that help in quick recovery. Especially tomatoes contain fructose which helps to metabolize our body. It revitalizes and refreshes our body. Eat raw or cooked vegetables or soup.  Also eat banana as it helps to replenish potassium as well as lost electrolytes. It calms the stomach and boost energy level.

7. Ginger or peppermint tea

In case of hangover don’t drink coffee, it deteriorates the situation. You can have tea especially ginger or peppermint.  It helps to reduce nausea, vomiting and help sin digestion of alcohol. Peppermint speeds up detoxification process. You can simply chew few pieces of ginger or few leaves of peppermint throughout. Instead you can make tea as well.

Add few slices of ginger in a cup of water and let it boil. Drink this tea. You can add lemon juice and honey if you prefer. Drink this tea throughout the day.

For peppermint tea, add boiling water to dried peppermint leaves or fresh leaves. Cover it for 15 minutes and then drain it. Drink this tea throughout the day.




You can also simply you can chew few pieces of ginger or few leaves of peppermint throughout.

8. Exercise

Even if you are unable to go to gym, just do gentle exercise which will stimulate your body functions. Endorphin release during exercise could boost your mood. Sweating through exercise will help to eliminate the accumulated toxins.  Don’t exercise too much and drink plenty of water.

9. Fresh air

Although it is very tiresome and headache next morning, walk in a fresh air will make better.  You will get fresh air and it stimulates your brain functions as well.  While drinking, drink in open place with lots of fresh air which can reduce hangover next morning.



10. Hot bath

Hot bath is another way to reduce the hangover as it cleans the toxins from your skin and refreshes you. In a bathtub, fill it with hot water, shower gel and also peppermint oil. Soak in this water for around 30 minutes. This will soothes, refreshes and remove toxins from your body.
